ARCADIA/POWER STATION |
| In 1985 after the release of "A view to a kill" the members of duran duran split up in two projects. First John Taylor and Andy Taylor formed power station together with Tony Thompson and Robert Palmer (Who didn't tour with the band, therefore he was replaced by Michael des Barres). In the mean time Simon, Nick and Roger Taylor formed Arcadia. After these recordings Roger left Arcadia and Duran duran. While power station had a big hit with "Some like it hot" and a small hit with the T-Rex cover "Get it on", Arcadia had two big hits with "Election day", "The flame" and a small hit with "The promise" featuring Sting. John Taylor joined Simon and Nick in the videopromo of "The flame". |
